2nd Annual Superhero 5K - SAVE THE DATE!

SAVE THE DATE - The 2nd Annual Superhero 5K is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 8:00am at the Villagio Town Center in Katy, TX. Come dressed as your favorite Superhero and help Keep Kids Connected raise money to purchase Netbook computers for seriously ill kids. Will you be a Superhero? Great race! Was happy to run and support such a worthy cause. It was my first 5k and I was once a very ill child myself...spent months in the hospital when I was twelve years old until I was finally diagnosed with chronic lupus nephritis (and thereafter IV treatments). It's now 25 years later and I'm much better these days after many twists and turns! : )
Very happy with the worthwhile cause of the organization since I know firsthand what it was like being a child spending days...hours in the hospital...

Thanks to everyone who donates aluminum cans for recycling the 2nd Saturday of every month at the Tradition Bank Pin Oak location in Old Katy. We were able to provide 5 Netbook computers to kids with a serious illness from the proceeds raised from the monthly aluminum can collection.!

Thanks to the National Charity League Ladybird Chapter for helping with the Bingo Concession stand the 4th Friday of every month and everyone who supports the concession stand. We were able to provide 8 Netbook computers to kids with a serious illness in 2012 from the proceeds raised from the concession stand!
